Step 1: Call A-1 CDL at 1-877-543-2345 or 703-335-5333 to reserve your seat as soon as possible. Seats are available on a first come/first serve basis. Send us attached Qualification Form. (Please download Acrobat Reader if you can not read Qualification Form.) Step 2: Students must possess a valid driver’s license. Step 3: Pick-up a Commercial Driver’s License Manual from DMV by the first day of class. The manuals are free at any DMV. If you fail the written test 3 times you will need to sign up for 40 hours (Reexamination program) in Virginia. The permit fee is about $3 in Virginia, $90 in Maryland, and $39 in Washington, D.C. |

| Study the following: • Section 1 & 6: General Knowledge • Section 2: Air Brakes • Section 3: Combination Vehicles • Section 9: Hazardous Materials (not required, but highly recommended) We will provide practice tests for you to assist your studying and prepare for the written CDL Instructional Permit. The practice tests are to be used with the DMV CDL Manual. |
